Plein Air to Studio (Online Course) Spring 2024 w/ Tushar Sabale

Painting in both Plein Air and Studio has its own challenges and benefits. As an all weather plein air artist, Tushar paints mostly alla prima but he also relies on the quick studies of the subject done outdoors to further develop or refine those works in his studio based on the observations, notes and memory.

In this course he will take you through few such studies demonstrating in both plein air and in studio explaining how to use each method to its advantage. He will be demonstrating two paintings a landscape and a city scape, using the same method as above.

The course will also involve studies and discussions of works by the old masters, and focus on composition, colour mixing, tonal values and colour harmonies.
