Morán Morán

Established in 2008, Morán Morán focuses on exhibitions of contemporary art, representing emerging and mid-career artists as well as presenting historical material. Since its early years, the gallery has supported exploration and collaboration, inviting curators and artists to conceive exhibitions, performances, and happenings to expand programming beyond the traditional gallery model. These endeavors imprinted a freeform and experimental identity early on, as well as establishing a history of discovery, which serves as the gallery’s foundation. The gallery encourages all artists to experiment within their practice, offering the public to engage with work that is both accessible and rigorous, with a firm conviction toward inclusivity and diversity.

The accomplishments of our represented artists include consistent inclusion in all major global biennials and triennials, as well as receiving awards and recognitions such as Guggenheim Fellows; Rome Prize Fellows; Louis Comfort Tiffany Grant recipients; USA Rockefeller Fellows; Getty Research Institute Visiting Scholars; Radcliffe Institute Fellows; Heinz Award recipients; Mohn Award recipients; Ellsworth Kelly Awardees; Joan Mitchell Grantees; and several Rauschenberg Residents. These artists’ works are included in every prestigious collection in the U.S. and dozens of international institutions, including Museum of Modern Art, New York; Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris; Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York; Smithsonian Institute, Washington D.C.; The Victoria and Albert Museum, London; The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York; Amorepacific Museum of Art, Seoul; The Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago; Walker Art Center, Minneapolis; Pérez Art Museum, Miami; Fondation Cartier Pour l’Art Contemporain, Paris; The Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco; Israel Museum, Jerusalem; The Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn; Nationalmuseum, Stockholm; Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh; Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas; Fogg Art Museum at Harvard, Boston; and The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles.
