Catherine opened her first studio in 1986 exhibiting her works across Canada, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto, and  began teaching as Director of Arts at Central Montessori School Canada 2018. Ms Shea has been invited to teach her Experiential Learning Workshops at Canadian universities McGill University, University of Toronto, and University of Ottawa.

Ms. Shea expanded her studio in 2020 to include an Online Art Academy teaching to a global audience. In 2021 she was invited to teach at Instituto Allende in San Miguel de Allende Mexico, where she opened Catherine Shea Studio & Gallery showcasing her original paintings as well as hosting shows for local and international artists. Ms. Shea also performs  Live Painting Shows with jazz musicians from Mexico.

In 2024, Catherine Shea Studio has expanded to offer both online and in-person classes and workshops at  #Hashtag Gallery CDMX.

Catherine paints her colourful abstract works, while continuing her mission to inspire and empower people from all walks of life, through her unique lens of learning.

Ms. Shea also coaches emerging artists via her Online Art Academy and offers in-person classes and workshops at #Hashtag Gallery CDMX.
