La exposición de Lawrence, a través del uso ingenioso de estereogramas, nos sumerge en un universo de piezas juguetonas e interpretativas. La yuxtaposición de motivos genera composiciones que invitan a la reflexión sobre la percepción y la naturaleza engañosa de la interpretación artística. Las obras, representadas por elementos similares a engranajes, provocan una contemplación activa por parte del espectador, cuestionando hacia dónde dirige su mirada y por qué.

A forma de estereogramas, la obra de Lawrence nos invita a adentrarnos al universo que conforman sus obras. Mediante la yuxtaposición de diversos motivos se generan imágenes que se unen y desprenden una y otra vez.
Una observación casi voyerista del mundo del arte ha llevado al artista a una exploración en la que juega balanceándose entre lo abstracto y lo figurativo. Alejándose del desnudo masculino o femenino que permea la academia, encontró valor en aquello que el espectador percibe en su primer encuentro con la obra.
Se tratan de piezas juguetonas sujetas a la interpretación de aquel que la mira. Acercarse o alejarse de la obra funciona como el mecanismo que permite que los engranes, representados como vergas y gallos, giren y activen estas composiciones. Seguir el viaje de la creación de cada pieza, como si de pinceladas se tratara, encontrar el patrón con el que cada una de las imágenes seleccionadas fue adherida al lado de la siguiente.
Nos encontramos ante una muestra que nos cuestiona el lugar al que se dirigen nuestros ojos y por qué; ¿qué miras cuando miras? Como hacemos en la vida, el artista nos invita a hacer sentido una y otra vez, pues no se trata más que de una percepción engañosa.

As stereograms, Lawrence's work invites us to enter the universe conformed by his pieces. Images that join and detach over and over again are generated through the juxtaposition of various motifs.
An almost voyeuristic observation of the art world has led the artist to an exploration in which he plays, balancing between the abstract and the figurative. Moving away from the male and female nude that permeates the academy, he found value in the perception of the viewer in their first encounter with the art pieces.
We are talking about playful pieces subject to the interpretation of those who look. By getting closer or further away from the work, the gears, represented by dicks and cocks, start moving and activate these compositions. Follow the creation journey of each piece, as if it were brush strokes, finding the pattern in which each selected image was adhered to the next one.
We find ourselves before an exhibition that questions us where we put our eyes on and why; what do you look when you look? As we do in life, the artist invites us to make sense again and again, since it is nothing more than a deceptive perception.
