Open Call; For exhibition proposals

@421.online, an independent arts campus in Abu Dhabi supporting emerging artists and creative practitioners from the UAE and wider region, is now accepting curatorial proposals for an exhibition to be developed and presented in Winter/Spring 2027.

This opportunity is open to individual curators and curatorial collectives working with contemporary artistic practices in the UAE and wider Arabic-speaking geographies, including the diaspora.

Proposals should present a clear and well-developed curatorial vision, grounded in critical inquiry and ready for exhibition development. Applicants are invited to reflect on questions around emerging narratives, artistic gestures from the margins, and curating as a space for listening, translation, and reimagination.

421 offers a competitive curatorial fee, full production support, and marketing and interpretative material development in collaboration with the curator. Experimental formats are welcome, though major architectural changes to the space are generally discouraged unless essential.
