Course Description

One of the most satisfying and enjoyable activities for me is being out in nature, but taking photographs and memories back to the studio and creating dynamic paintings is often a challenge. This 4-week course will focus on finding a new way of interpreting your experience.

Design, colour and mark making exercises will help build a new way of seeing your world and translated it into your work.

Course Outline

Week 1 –

Exploring the world of landscape and photography through exercises in value.

Week 2 –

Expanding mark making and composition through collage.

Week 3 –

Colour theory and developing a palette that works.

Week 4 –

Creating a painting utilizing week 1 to 3 theory.
