Withdrawal situates itself within primordial narratives, myths, and rituals that persist beneath the technocratic surface of the present. Díaz Cedeño weaves his ongoing interest in fountains and (dys)functional water systems with the ritual force of gushes, drips, and streams—gestures that continue to stir the subconscious. Through a body of work that stretches and distorts familiar architectural forms, the exhibition examines the tension between desire and control, nature and system. What emerges is a landscape that unsettles the glorification of efficiency, hygiene, and surveillance, revealing an inherently human space shaped by flow, rupture, and latent memory.
