Atsuki Fujimoto
From September 4 to October 30, as part of GAMA WEEK, SAENGER Galería will present the work of Japanese artist Atsuki Fujimoto in our Main Gallery.
Fujimoto’s practice transforms canvas through tearing, layering, and reassembling, evoking the ephemeral beauty and strength of nature. Inspired by flowers, plants, and shifting atmospheres, his works embody both the tactile richness of Western material art and the quiet, poetic sensibility of Japanese aesthetics. Each piece becomes an intimate yet expansive reflection on fragility, vitality, and the passage of time.
Born in Mie, Japan in 1997 and based in Kyoto, Fujimoto earned his M.F.A. from Kyoto University of the Arts in 2021. In 2025, one of his works entered the public collection of the Coppel Foundation in Mexico.
