  • Founding: Established in 2010 by Kibum Kim, the gallery initially opened in Koreatown, Los Angeles. It has since expanded to include a location in Mexico City.

    • The Mexico City location is on the first floor, making it more accessible compared to the Los Angeles gallery, which is on the second floor.

Recent Activities

Commonwealth and Council has been involved in various exhibitions and collaborations, notably partnering with Galería Agustina Ferreyra in Mexico City to enhance local art scenes. Their inaugural show took place in June 2022, marking a significant entry into the CDMX art community.The gallery continues to host contemporary art exhibitions featuring both local and international artists, contributing to the vibrant cultural landscape of Mexico City
