Marking the artist’s first solo exhibition in Mexico City, Volver en una pieza proposes an intimate yet expansive encounter with Fragoso’s practice. The body appears fragmented and unfolded as a terrain of transformation and memory. Garments once in intimate contact with the skin—gloves, stockings, suspended surfaces—emerge as second skins, freed from function yet charged with presence. Moving between ritual, intimacy, and corporeality, the exhibition evokes cycles of shedding, regeneration, and renewal, drawing on symbolic figures of metamorphosis and offering the body as a site in constant transition—where protection, desire, and the grotesque coexist.
