We are extremely excited to present Italian artist 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗮 as part of the gallery’s roster.
For her first solo exhibition in 𝗠𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗰𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, she reflects on the interconnectedness of all life forms in the material world. The rise of posthuman philosophies has forced us to reckon with the expanding definition of our 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴, which has revealed 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 as constants. In this new suite of paintings, the artist explores the body as a 𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮 that undergoes exchanges to ensure its vitality.
/ 𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝘽𝙤𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙨 → the opening is this 𝙏𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙙𝙖𝙮, 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟯𝟬𝘁𝗵 at 𝟲𝗽𝗺 at the 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗮 𝗱𝗲 𝗹𝗮 𝗔𝗰𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗮 in the Historic Center of Mexico City.

We appreciate @acra.pr for the dedication and fabulous energy they have brought to us and 𝗔𝗹𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼 for his enormous generosity in making this happen in the most polished way possible.
*The entire production of @melaniatoma ‘s work in Mexico City was thanks to the space conceived by our great friends @korneeva.valeria & @oliveriosegura in their music studio ‘𝙇𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙖’, located in the Hipodromo Condesa; we love you deeply.
