DWM25 Design Week Mexico 2025 – Vision & Tradition
Vision & Tradition, el programa de residencias de Design Week Mexico, une a diseñadores y artesanos en una experiencia colaborativa única. En esta edición, Argentina es el país invitado y se contará con la participación especial de Yucatán, Oaxaca, Estado de México, Ciudad de México, Jalisco, Chiapas, Guerrero, Chihuahua, Puebla, Aguascalientes y Michoacán. Esta combinación permite un intercambio cultural enriquecedor entre diseñadores y artesanos de México y Argentina.
The result of this collaboration is presented in the iconic crescent moon of the National Museum of Anthropology, where traditional techniques and contemporary approaches converge. The resulting pieces reflect the cultural richness, innovation, and collective talent of all participants.
The Vision & Tradition working sessions will take place from July to August 2025 in several municipalities across Mexico.
Since its inception, Design Week Mexico has had the mission of promoting Mexican design through dialogue with the creative and cultural industries of other countries. Argentina, as a guest country, working hand in hand with Mexican artisans offers a tremendous opportunity to create a dialogue between cutting-edge design and craftsmanship, our country’s artistic and cultural heritage.
Visits to the artisans’ workshops, the interaction, and the work sessions generate each of the pieces, which are the result of the participants’ awareness of each other’s work. Working together in an environment of absolute respect and feedback, design philosophies merge, resulting in the creation of unique pieces.
