Aurora Noreña.

Lives and works in Mexico City.

She studied Architecture at the Autonomous Metropolitan University (UAM) and the MD in Visual Arts at the National School of Plastic Arts of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), both in Mexico City.

She has curated several exhibitions and taught workshops, conferences and courses in Mexico City and in different states in Mexico, besides giving sculpture classes and research degree seminars, at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving, La Esmeralda, of the National Institute of Fine Arts (2001-2008), and on Contemporary Art History at Sor Juana University (1996-1998), Autonomous Metropolitan University (1994-1996) and Jumex Foundation (2003).

She has more than a dozen solo exhibitions in the country. The last two are: El que nace Tepalcate, ArtsSpace Gallery and Tepalcates, Enrique Guerrero Gallery, both in 2020 in Mexico City.

She has an endless number of collective exhibitions inside and outside the country, among which stand out: Linear. Langkong Art Museum, Beijing, China, 2021; El animal herido. Museo Experimental el Eco, México City, 2019-2020; Mexico City: eight centuries journey, 2017-2018; 20 years of the National Fund for Culture and Arts (FONCA), Vasconcelos Library, 2009; Women: without account. Mexican Cultural Institute, San Antonio, Texas, 2008, Sculptural Brotherhoods Mexico – Germany. Macay Foundation, Mérida, Yucatan, 2008; Biennial of Art of Fukushima, Japan, 2007; IV International Biennial of Standards, Tijuana, Baja California Norte, 2006 and Art-metropolis, 34th Cervantino International Festival, Guanajuato, 2006.

Throughout her career she has been recognized with several awards, such as: Acquisition Prize of the XI National Young Art Encounter, 1991; Young Creative Scholarship in Sculpture. FONCA. 1996-1997; ART / OMI Arts Residence, Ghent, New York, USA, 1998; Fellowship for Cultural Projects and Co-investments, FONCA, for the project Invisible currents, 1999; Honorary mention in sculpture in the October Art Show, Omnilife Grand Prix, Guadalajara 2001, Selection among the best publications of 2015 for her book: Ondulations under the bridge. Horizon Zapping. Sergio González Rodríguez, FCE and Reforma newspaper. January 3, 2016; Coca Price 2018, Associazione Culturale COCA, Rome, Italy and she belongs to the National System of Art Creators (SNCA 2016-2019).

Clara de Tezanos

Member of Como ser fotógrafa,  FotoFéminas and The Journal Collective

Franco-Guatemalan visual artist (1986). In 2009, she co-founded the Center for Contemporary Photography, La Fototeca, and the International Photography Festival GuatePhoto. As a director, she has curated various exhibitions, has led editorial projects, and she has been teaching for over 10 years.

In 2018, De Tezanos published Piedra-Padre, Universo, and Por Maniobras de un Terceto, all of which were shortlisted in prestigious international competitions such as the Aperture & Paris Photo First Book Award 2018, El Mejor Libro del Año 2020, and the Prix du Livre des Rencontres d’Arles 2020. She presented these books in solo exhibitions at La Erre in Guatemala City and La Nueva Fábrica in Antigua Guatemala.

Her latest solo exhibitions were Faites un Vœu at Galerie Lalalande in Paris in 2024 and La Fuente es el Sol at Galería Rebelde in Guatemala City in 2022. Her latest group exhibitions in 2023 took place at HangarY in the exhibition Prendre le Soleil in Paris, Meudon, and in Mexico at Salón ACME. She participated in art fairs such as Zona Maco 2020 in Mexico City, Art Lima 2020 in Peru, Together Arts 2021 in Miami, and Art Paris 2021/22/23 in Paris.

Lisa Saldivar

Lisa a visual designer and artist from Houston, Texas and currently lives between Portland, Oregon and Mexico City. In 2019, she completed her masters in Design Studies from Centro de Diseño, Cine y Televisión. She has over 8 years experience as a Creative Director and 15 years as a graphic designer and illustrator.

As a visual artist, her work is based in cultural identity of Latinx Americans and how this relationship affects the culture in the US; through oppression and how we can transform suffering into hope. In the summer of 2019, she traveled through Mexico to paint murals in memory of the 283 people who passed away crossing the border in 2018.
