La exposición está compuesta de nuevas pinturas y esculturas instalativas con motivos retomando la abstracción de la forma y la emocionalidad dentro de una composición; son obras desarrolladas proto-digitalmente, manteniendo dicha naturaleza plana.
En las obras se representan diagramas de todo tipo, desde la receta para cocer pasta, la elaboración de un sándwich, hasta el manual de seguridad de un taladro. Para lxs artistxs, utilizar estos diagramas como una primera capa tiene que ver con un lectura influenciada por la ironía de “tener una receta para todo” y una alusión al aspiracionismo en lo referente al arte y al mercado, nuevamente cuestionando si la fórmula perfecta plasmada en la pintura equivale a la pintura perfecta o sólo es un fracaso más ante la literalidad de los motivos y la banalidad intrínseca de aquellos.
Todxs alguna vez hemos hecho un mal sándwich o quemado la pasta; es entonces cuando el panorama completo de la composición aparece no sólo como un acto de copiar y pegar sino como diversos gestos conceptuales de lxs artistxs acerca de jugar con lo ya establecido a partir del deseo de ganar y así restituir la idea.
Valladares y Gress Muñoz saben que no hay nada nuevo en copiar imágenes provenientes de internet y cultura popular. Para esta nueva serie de obras, decidieron juntar objetos en composiciones específicas de la forma más ingenua y casual, sin pretensiones de ser hábiles en este sentido, más bien por el mero placer de reírse de uno mismo y de sus referentes.
“Si les da miedo perder…” está desarrollado ante el pensamiento de una perspectiva temporal, se percibe el paso del tiempo como un punto ciego en el que repites lo que alguien ya ha dicho, ya ha visto, ya ha pensado.

The exhibition is composed of new paintings and installative sculptures with motifs about the abstraction of form and emotionality within various compositions; they’re proto-digitally developed artworks that maintain a flat nature.
The paintings represent diagrams of all kinds, from the recipe for cooking pasta, the preparation of a sandwich and even a safety manual for a drill. For the artists, using these diagrams as a first layer has to do with a reading influenced by the irony of “having a recipe for everything” and the allusion of aspirationism in relation to art and the market, again questioning whether the perfect formula for painting is the equivalent to making the perfect painting or is it just another failure in the face of the literality of the motifs and their intrinsic banality.
We have all made a bad sandwich or burned pasta at some point; it’s then when the panorama of the big picture appears to be not only an act of just copy-pasting, but also of varying conceptual gestures by the artists about playing with what is already established based on the desire to win over it and thus restore an idea.
Valladeres and Gress Muñoz know that there is nothing new to copying images from the internet and popular culture. For this new series of works, they decided to put together objects in specific compositions in the most naive and casual way, without pretensions of being skillful in this regard but for the mere pleasure of laughing at oneself and their references.
The exhibition is developed through the framework of a temporal perspective – the passage of time is perceived as a blind spot in which you repeat what someone has already said, has already seen, and has already thought.
