KÖNIG MEXICO CITY is pleased to present I’M JUST HERE FOR THE POOL, a solo exhibition by Berlin-based artist and curator Amir Fattal (@amir.a.fattal). In this body of work, Fattal deepens his exploration of AI as both a tool and a mirror, examining how aesthetics function as social codes shaped by aspiration, taste, and cultural identity.

Through architectural scenes, swimming pools, graphic murals, and carefully staged figures, the paintings evoke imagined memories of aspirational spaces. Informed by Fattal’s long-standing relationship with Mexico City and influenced by Mexican modernist architecture—particularly Luis Barragán—the works reflect on how identity, desire, and “good taste” are constructed, performed, and increasingly learned through algorithms.
