Rondo Residency

Artes Visuales
Our Live-Work modality provides artists with the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in our creative environment by residing on-site while actively engaging in their projects.
Calle Rumania 907, Mexico City, Mexico 03300

Nestled within the vibrant tapestry of Mexico City’s artistic landscape, Rondo Residency emerges as a beacon of creative exploration and collaboration. Founded by Nicolas Voegelin, grandson of the visionary entrepreneur Klaus Voegelin, alongside a cadre of passionate art entrepreneurs, Rondo Residency inherits a storied legacy rooted in the rich history of its namesake company.

In 1956, Klaus Voegelin embarked on a daring venture, establishing Rondo as a pioneering force in the burgeoning cardboard folding packaging industry. With unwavering dedication to innovation, precision, and quality craftsmanship, Klaus propelled Rondo to the forefront of the sector, shaping its identity with each meticulously crafted product.

However, as the digital era dawned upon the more recent decades, the printing industry experienced a downturn. Recognizing the shifting tides, Nicolas Voegelin, an architect by trade, resolved to preserve the physical space that once hummed with the rhythms of industry. Inspired by his family’s legacy and driven by a desire to honor the past while embracing the future, Nicolas transformed the industrial factory into the vibrant sanctuary that is Rondo Residency. Amidst the steel beams and concrete walls, echoes of generations past reverberate, infusing the space with a sense of history and heritage.

Some archival photos serve as poignant reminders of bygone eras. Within these snapshots, the company’s Sunday soccer team emerges as a symbol of camaraderie and triumph, immortalizing moments shared by Klaus, his young sons, and the dedicated team members.

Today, Rondo Residency stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of creativity and resilience. As we continue to honor our legacy and embrace the ever-evolving landscape of artistic expression, we invite you to join us in shaping the future of art. Together, let us weave new stories, forge new connections, and celebrate the boundless possibilities of creativity. Welcome to Rondo Residency, where every moment is a tribute to the journey that brought us here and the endless possibilities that lie ahead.
