Open Call: Writer in Residence 2026
@salzburgerkunstverein and @artreview_magazine invite art writers and art critics to apply for the 2026 Writer-in-Residence program in Salzburg.
The residency is thought as a space for reflection, experimentation, and recharge, set against the exhibitions and urgencies of CAPTCHA Realism, the 2026 curatorial framework at Salzburger Kunstverein.
Residency provides a month to think, to write, to pause and:
— private studio apartment in the historic Künstlerhaus
— scholarship
— health insurance
— editorial mentorship & networking opportunities
— a bicycle
Deadline: 15 February 2026
Selected writers will be announced by 15 March 2026.
