PORTALS is a new series of paintings by Olga Hilgers exploring thresholds, presence, and transformation.

Through layered color fields and luminous centers, the works evoke the sensation of entering a passage – a moment where perception shifts and new possibilities begin to emerge.

Olga Hilgers is a Berlin-based artist whose practice investigates transformation through the principles of layering and connection. Working across painting, drawing, and mixed media, she explores how distinct materials and gestures can embody parallel, and at times contrasting, human experiences.
