Un gran reloj de bolsillo de bronce cuelga silenciosamente del techo, mitad reliquia, mitad máquina del tiempo. Marcado con el icónico símbolo Omega, evoca misiones lunares y buceos en aguas profundas: herramientas de precisión y supervivencia. Pero aquí, el reloj no es preciso ni, no marca un tiempo medido, sino un tiempo suspendido.

Usados habitualmente para definir arquitecturas sagradas del cosmos en la tradición tibetana, estos mandalas se han desintegrado: sus marcos se han vaciado, sus círculos han entrado en una órbita caótica. Lo que queda son estructuras de conciencia al borde del colapso, o quizás del renacimiento. ⁣

Con OMEGA, Pablo Vargas Lugo construye una meditación poética e inquietante sobre el tiempo: su lenguaje, sus mecanismos, sus símbolos sagrados y su inevitable. OMEGA es a la vez humorística y siniestra: una reflexión multifacética sobre el fin del tiempo, la falta de control y los espacios a los que accedemos cuando el tiempo se disuelve.

A bronze pocket watch swings silently from the ceiling—part relic, part time machine. Marked with the iconic Omega symbol, which recalls moon missions and deep-sea dives—tools of precision and survival. But here, the watch is neither precise nor reliable, but time suspended.

Usually used to define sacred architectures of the cosmos in Tibetan tradition, these mandalas have burst apart—their frames emptied, their circles thrown into chaotic orbit. What remains are structures of consciousness on the verge of collapse, or perhaps rebirth.

With OMEGA, Pablo Vargas Lugo constructs a poetic and unsettling meditation on time—its language, its devices, its sacred symbols, and it’s inevitable collapse. OMEGA is both humorous and ominous—a layered reflection on the end of time, the failure of control, and the spaces we enter when time dissolves.
