Quarantine is an Art events label run by leading artists and agents provocateurs in Menorca, Spain. Our community of artists, art lovers, and open-minded individuals participate in events such as boot camps, talks, mentorships and masterclasses, all while enjoying a touch of Spanish wine.

Quarantine was born with the commitment to offer what an academic education, due to its very nature and purpose, cannot: progress as an artist, not as an art student.

Quarantine: strict rules to follow

Rule #1 — Phones are prohibited

No exceptions. What happens on the island stays on the island. Be prepared to unplug and connect with the present, using your brain, not your phone.

Rule #2 — Admission is curated

This program is not a painting holiday, it’s hard, intense, and real. That’s why we personally curate participant selection to ensure commitment.

Quarantine is an adventure and the challenges will remain secret for maximum benefits. Be open-minded and expect the unexpected.

Our philosophy

At Quarantine, we don’t have a recipe for creating talent, but we have a compass. We like compasses, not maps; we love time, not clocks. Experiences are valued over lessons.

Here’s what we’ve learned:

We are an indie organization mentoring artists on a real quarantine island in Menorca. We’re a small company and we think being small is a good thing.

We are neither venerable nor respectable, but we do believe in what we do. Quarantine is not just another formula for filling seats and milking money. We are here to enjoy the experience WITH you, not AT you.

On Lazaretto, an 18th-century quarantine island in the middle of Maó port, we provide a challenging and thought-provoking environment for artists to ponder their next pieces and find refuge and direction.

We believe in core principles and ethical values like peace, love, respect, freedom, harmony and diversity, but also hedonism.
