The Ant Project is a non-profit organization inspired by the collective intelligence of ants, whose individuals, operating as a collective, achieve remarkable goals that would be impossible for a single member on their own. The Ant Project was born from the need to create a horizontal structure of interaction among artists and curators. Its aim is to facilitate interconnection between seemingly disparate individual practices, nurturing the creative process of the\u00a0community as a whole.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

We operate in three fields of action:<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
1.\u00a0Exhibitions<\/a>:\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Collective intelligence drives our pursuit of collaboration with diverse communities, including institutions, foundations, galleries, and public spaces. Through these interactions, a common thread emerges, fostering an open and equitable dialogue among all voices.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
2.\u00a0Art Fairs<\/a>:<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
In our search for ways to finance our project, we have been participating in art fairs such as Untitled Art Miami Beach and this year in Laguna Art Week, Mexico City. We have found that these avenues are not only a possibility of financing but also of bringing our thematic conversations to a large audience to create a synergy of interaction.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
3.\u00a0Residencies<\/a>:<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
In 2023 we opened our first residency space in\u00a0Coyoac\u00e1n, Mexico City, to host international artists who seek to enrich their practice through a connection with Mexico’s rich cultural and historical heritage, as well as immerse themselves in the vibrant art scene that Mexico City has to offer.<\/p>\n

Guadalupe Garc\u00eda is an art historian born in Mexico City where she held positions as\u00a0Curator and\u00a0Assistant\u00a0Director at\u00a0the Museo del Palacio de\u00a0Bellas\u00a0Artes, and\u00a0Director of\u00a0Exhibition at the Museo Nacional de\u00a0Arte. In Miami, she\u00a0served\u00a0as a consulting curator at the Lowe Art Museum, University of Miami, and took the step of founding a non-profit organization,\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
The Ant Project, focused on interconnecting artists, curators, and content creators horizontally\u00a0to develop projects and create a community\u00a0based on\u00a0the value of collective interaction.\u00a0The goal of\u00a0founding\u00a0this organization\u00a0is to have all the creators’ voices heard at the same level, seeking to work collaboratively. The Ant Project has participated in Untitled Art Miami\u00a0Beach,\u00a0Art\u00a0Golden Gai Tokyo, and Art Week in Laguna, Mexico City, and\u00a0has produced several exhibitions in Miami and Mexico City.<\/span><\/div>\n
In 2023,\u00a0Garc\u00eda\u00a0opened\u00a0an artist residency at her\u00a0space in\u00a0Coyoac\u00e1n, Mexico City, where\u00a0she currently resides, fostering cultural exchange between artists from around the world.<\/span><\/div>\n
She\u2019s currently a\u00a0Board\u00a0Member of IKT, International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art, as well as The Skirt Foundation in South Florida, USA.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
