After a meteoric rise in Seattle and Chicago, French\u2011Somali dealer Mariane\u202fIbrahim<\/strong> returned to her hometown to plant roots on Paris\u2019s prestigious Avenue\u202fMatignon. Unveiled on\u202f18\u202fSeptember\u202f2021, the space occupies three inter\u00adconnected floors of a refined Haussmann building, discreetly tucked behind a street\u2011level portal. Inside, fluid galleries flow around generous ceiling heights and skylit volumes, giving room for large\u2011scale painting, sculpture, and immersive installations while retaining the intimacy of a townhouse.<\/p>\n

The launch exhibition, \u201cJ\u2019ai\u202fDeux\u202fAmours,\u201d<\/strong> gathered all fifteen roster artists\u2014Amoako\u202fBoafo, Florine\u202fD\u00e9mosth\u00e8ne, Clotilde\u202fJim\u00e9nez, among others\u2014to create twin works inspired by Josephine\u202fBaker\u2019s anthem to dual belonging.
