La Biblioteca Franciscana es el resultado del esfuerzo conjunto de la Universidad de las Am\u00e9ricas, Puebla y la Provincia Franciscana del Santo Evangelio de M\u00e9xico para preservar, investigar y difundir el acervo bibliogr\u00e1fico de la Orden. Ubicada en lo que fuera el antiguo Portal de Peregrinos del Convento de San Gabriel en la ciudad de San Pedro Cholula, constituye uno de los fondos bibliogr\u00e1ficos y documentales m\u00e1s importantes del centro del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Su acervo cuenta con m\u00e1s de 24,000 vol\u00famenes de los siglos XVI al XIX con obras fundamentales del pensamiento novohispano destacando una gran variedad de sermones, tratados de teolog\u00eda, derecho can\u00f3nico, manuales de catequesis, hagiograf\u00edas, liturgias, etc., as\u00ed como textos de historia, ciencias, matem\u00e1ticas, literatura, filosof\u00eda, gram\u00e1tica y ret\u00f3rica, escritos principalmente en lat\u00edn y espa\u00f1ol antiguo.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
