Workshop Description<\/span><\/p>\n

\u200b<\/span><\/p>\n

Join us for an all-inclusive week of oil painting in the Tuscan countryside with Shane Wolf.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During this 5-day intensive workshop Shane will teach his technique of alla prima figure painting in oil from the live model. Students will explore many short pose sketches in oil (approx 20-minute poses) as well as having longer poses of several hours for a more completed painting. Shane places a lot of importance on short studies in order for the students to better grasp the rather elusive aspects of flesh tones and value relationships of the model.<\/span><\/p>\n

Much emphasis during this workshop will be on accurate color use, namely the understanding and execution of chroma relationships in flesh tones.<\/span><\/p>\n

This workshop welcomes all levels of experience, and is ideal for those seeking to discover the efficiency and strength of alla prima painting. Taking Shane’s figure drawing workshop the prior week would greatly strengthen the foundations of your paintings.<\/span><\/p>\n

During this all-inclusive art workshop, meals will be home-cooked by our wonderful Chef Giovanna, and eaten together in our large dining room, or outside with a panoramic view of the stunning landscape. After class you’ll have free use of the Villa and grounds to explore. During the week we will host some evening events; such as pizza night using our outdoor pizza oven, yoga and sound bath in the ball room, and a night of live music. Many of our evenings will be spent around the fire, under the stars. If you need to unwind after class you can use our sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Or if you prefer to explore you can wander through the woodland, walk, cycle or take the bus into town. \u200bAnd of course you are always welcome to continue practicing your art, sketching outside, or continue painting in our studio, which is always open.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a chance to focus on you and your art, you’ll be living and working together among many other creatives, and alongside Shane, with the opportunity to dive deep into each other’s knowledge and experience – building relationships, whilst making the most of the surrounding nature in this beautiful Tuscan setting.
