Comienza con la Suite para violonchelo solo n\u00fam. 3 en do mayor BWV 1009 de Johann Sebastian Bach, escrita en las primeras d\u00e9cadas del siglo XVIII. Sus siete movimientos, basados en danzas barrocas, alternan pasajes de gran libertad mel\u00f3dica con secciones de alta demanda t\u00e9cnica. El programa incluye\u00a0<em>Pune\u00f1a\u00a0<\/em>n\u00fam. 2 Op. 45 de Alberto Ginastera, compuesta en 1976 por encargo de Mstislav Rostropovich para conmemorar el 70\u00ba aniversario del director y mecenas suizo Paul Sacher. La obra integra elementos de la m\u00fasica tradicional andina, como el harawi y el carnavalito, mediante t\u00e9cnicas extendidas y recursos sonoros que evocan el canto de aves, el viento y las flautas locales, como la quena y el siku. Finalmente, se presenta la Sonata para violonchelo solo Op. 8 de Zolt\u00e1n Kod\u00e1ly.
