Estas preguntas est\u00e1n en el coraz\u00f3n de Embodied Terrain\u2014una serie de pinturas y dibujos producidas por\u00a0@_alyssatang<\/a>\u00a0durante su residencia en\u00a0@dolores54_<\/a>\u00a0que abordan el cuerpo humano como un material mutable, en lugar de una identidad fija. En estas obras, la figura se entrelaza, se estira, se comprime, se erosiona y se recompone. No son retratos. No hay rostros, no hay nombres. La figura se convierte en un tipo de paisaje: ef\u00edmero, inestable, cambiante e irresuelto.<\/p>\n Cada pintura transita un umbral entre la figuraci\u00f3n y la abstracci\u00f3n. Extremidades que aparecen y desaparecen. La carne se desvanece en manchas, se derrumba en el fondo o se acerca a la nitidez antes de disolverse otra vez. Las obras resisten la narrativa. En cambio, exploran preguntas sobre la condici\u00f3n humana\u2014entre la intimidad y el desapego, la belleza y la distorsi\u00f3n, lo grotesco y lo sublime.<\/p>\n Estas obras no buscan representar, sino provocar sensaci\u00f3n. El equilibrio entre lo extra\u00f1o y lo familiar crea, de forma intencionada, un espacio para que quien mira pueda encontrarse dentro de la obra. \u00bfQu\u00e9 puede a\u00fan contener un cuerpo\u2014reducido, abstracto, deshecho? Ternura. Angustia. Deseo. Soledad. Anhelo. Caos.<\/p>\n Son cuerpos sin explicaci\u00f3n, formas sin conclusi\u00f3n.
