Luis Figueroa (Caracas, 1993) es un artista visual, licenciado en el programa de Bellas Artes Interdisciplinario de la Nova Scotia College of Art and Design y una maestr\u00eda en Artes Visuales de la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Nuevo Le\u00f3n. Su obra propone una dial\u00e9ctica entre el ser y el espacio, buscando comprender la realidad a trav\u00e9s de la construcci\u00f3n de escenarios donde convergen diferentes corrientes. De esta manera, crea piezas que integran una pluralidad de contextos y, apoyado en una exploraci\u00f3n de la crom\u00e1tica, busca conciliar una experiencia est\u00e9tica subjetiva que se adhiere a una autonom\u00eda y un esp\u00edritu caracter\u00edstico de un \u201clugar\u201d imaginado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Figueroa constantemente utiliza elementos figurativos, ya que existen dentro de un continuo de color que teje las diversas dimensiones de sus pinturas. Las figuras en su obra son agentes activos que dan lugar a las decisiones espec\u00edficas que dan forma a cada pintura. Su obra explora tanto las nociones de expectativa como de sorpresa, ya que evocan una negociaci\u00f3n constante entre la intenci\u00f3n del artista y la naturaleza impredecible de la pintura como medio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Figueroa ha expuesto su trabajo tanto en M\u00e9xico como en Canad\u00e1 en proyectos colectivos como Whereabouts (Halifax, 2014), Systems of Painting, (Halifax, 2015), Fragments of Reality (Halifax, 2015), Art of Leverage (Toronto, 2016), Ritual \u2044 Virtual (Halifax, 2016), Deadline 7 (Monterrey, 2020), FAMA (Monterrey, 2020), Feria FAIN (Monterrey, 2021), Comerse el ojo, para metabolizar la pintura (CDMX, 2021) y CLAVO MOVIMIENTO (CDMX, 2021), e individuales tales como Lightworks (Halifax, 2015), Piedra sus sue\u00f1os ser\u00e1n (Monterrey, 2021) y Residencia Temporal (Monterrey, 2023).
